AMC unveils official trailer for Preacher season 2 featuring The Saint of Killers
By Corey Smith
Preacher season 2 lands on AMC June 25, and the network just gave us a pretty awesome trailer featuring The Saint of Killers.
Preacher season 2 is rapidly approaching, and now AMC has delivered unto us sinners a damn good trailer. And as good JR used to say, business has just picked up. The new trailer features one of the comic’s greatest villains (and one of the greatest villains of all time if you ask us); The Saint of Killers, played by Graham McTavish.
The Saint of Killers looks to be hot on the heels of our favorite band of lovable misfits, the titular preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), Custer’s ex-girlfriend Tulip O’Hare (Ruth Negga) and 119-year-old vampire Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun). Last season saw the trio hit the road in search of God. Not figuratively, this is Preacher after all, but literally. God is missing.

The Saint of Killers appeared in season 1 of course but was then known simply as the Cowboy. After an upgrade, The Saint of Killers is hell bent on hunting down Custer and has the firepower to actually take him down.
Of course, that’s not all the trailer promises us, as there also appear to be some weirdos in white suits, and a plethora of law enforcement agents all seeking out Custer and friends. Throw in Preacher’s trademark humor and season 2 looks to be quite the ride.
Preacher season 2 will debut with a special premiere episode on Sunday, June 25 at 10 pm EST, and the second episode will follow on Monday, June 26 in the series’ normal slot at 9 pm EST. That’s two episodes in two days for those keeping score at home.
