Game of Thrones season 7 has much faster pace according to cast
Game of Thrones cast members have spoken, and according to them, the pacing of season 7 is much faster than anything we’ve seen before.
Continuing with its excellent coverage of Game of Thrones season 7, Entertainment Weekly sat down with actors Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), and Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and got the scoop on the pacing of the seven-episode season.
Coster-Waldau was shocked by what he saw when he received his script:

"I’m like, ‘Already? Now?! What?!’ I feel like I’d been lulled into a different pace. Everything happened quicker than I’m used to … a lot of things that normally take a season now take one episode."
Harington echoed his fellow actor’s sentiments and talked about how exciting season 7 is going to be:
"This season is really different than any other season because it’s accelerating toward the end, a lot of stuff collides and happens much much quicker than you’re used to seeing on Thrones … it’s so different than what everybody is used to."

Sounds like we’re in for a break-neck season, from start to finish. And, with only seven episodes, it would make sense that showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss would pace season 7 in that manner.
Co-executive producer, Bryan Cogman, put it into different words…words that would make even the most casual Game of Thrones fans sit up and take notice:
"There are White Walkers and dragons and once they start to come together the story has to go where it goes."
And that is what we, as Game of Thrones fans, have been waiting for. White Walkers and dragons coming together and mixing it up on a grand scale. With Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons heading toward Westeros in the season 6 finale, and with the Night King’s army looking to cross into the realm of the living — through the Wall — it seems like we might have the perfect ingredients for an epic heavyweight mixer.
