Entertainment Weekly holds a Stark family reunion for Game of Thrones season 7
Entertainment Weekly has gifted us with the most anticipated family reunion yet, as the surviving Stark children come together for some epic Game of Thrones season 7 family photos.
We are rapidly approaching the Game of Thrones season 7 premiere, and with it, the inevitable family reunion of House Stark. This week has been chock-full of Game of Thrones season 7 goodies, and the official trailer is just the tip of the Iceberg.
The last time all the Stark children were together, was season 1, episode 1, “Winter is Coming,” and things were much different then. House Stark a full happy and content family unit, the kids were so young, and their parents and siblings were still alive:

- Goosebumps season 1, episode 6 recap: “Night of the Living Dummy”
- Beacon 23 season 1, episode 3 recap: “Why Can’t We Go on as Three?”
- Upload season 3, episode 2 recap: “Strawberry”
- Ned and Catelyn Stark were still alive.
- Robb and his direwolf Grey Wind were still alive.
- Rickon and his direwolf Shaggydog were still alive.
- Hodor was still alive (R.I.P. you gentle giant, you).
- Sansa’s direwolf Lady was still alive.
- Bran’s direwolf Summer was still alive.
- Arya hadn’t yet separated from her direwolf Nymeria (in order to save her life).
- Arya wasn’t a stone-cold killer, yet.
- Jon hadn’t been murdered then brought back to life, yet.
So, as you can see, much has changed since they all shared a meal together under the same roof. We got a taste of the Stark reunion in season 6 when Jon and Sansa had an emotionally charged hug at Castle Black, but Bran was still on his way to the Wall before they left. Oh, and had Rickon known to run in a serpentine pattern, then he would be around, as well.
Game of Thrones fans don’t have to wait until season 7 starts to get a glimpse of the Stark kids coming together once again, as Entertainment Weekly has put them on its Game of Thrones season 7 cover.
And there you have the final four Starks gleefully posing for a photo shoot. From left to right: Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark, Isaac Hempstead-Wright as Bran Stark, Kit Harington as Jon Snow (Starkgaryen), and Maisie Williams as Arya Stark.
Here are all 11 photos from Marc Hom at Entertainment Weekly.
"Entertainment Weekly features House Stark family reunion for Game of Thrones season 7 coverage."
There are a couple of takeaways here.
- Jon has the twin direwolves emblazoned on his armor.
- Bran looks like he will be cloaked in the absolute best finery that the new Three-Eyed Raven would command.
- Sansa is, of course, stunning.
- And Arya is dressed in the leathers and cloak of House Stark.
- Also, Arya is wearing the dagger that was used in the assassination attempt on Bran in season one. A Valaryian steel dagger named Catspaw. We wonder where she got it!
These photos are exactly what we have been waiting for from Game of Thrones for 6 full seasons. If we truly get a full-on House Stark reunion in season 7, then you can expect the internet to melt into a puddle of heartwarming happiness.
