Great news for fans of Sin City, as the comics/films, are being rebooted and adapted for television.
After one successful film adaptation (and one failure) of Frank Miller’s graphic novels, Sin City, the Weinstein Company is going to reboot the series and adapt it for television. The Weinstein Company will be working with Dimension and writer Glen Mazzara of The Walking Dead fame.
According to Deadline, the intent of The Weinstein Company is to shop the reboot to several interested networks (who are mulling the prospect over now) with the idea of introducing all-new characters and timelines, so this definitely will not be a retreading of the films.

The first Sin City film did very well at the box office, raking in $160 million, however, the sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, did far worse. Perhaps the failing of the sequel is what caused the Weinstein Company to consider television as an avenue to tell Frank Miller’s critically acclaimed story, and it may very well be a great decision, considering the fact that we are in the middle of the Golden Age of television.
If TWC can get the right network — HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc… — then I can see the series doing quite well. However, if Sin City is forced to play by the rules of the FCC on a network like NBC, ABC, CBS, or Fox, then you can count on this being a one and done season for the series.
