Orphan Black Season 5 DVD Release Date Announced For Fall

Orphan Black might be wrapping up its final season this summer but fans will at least have the fall to look forward to.

According to a press release from BBC Home Entertainment, the final season of the thrilling clone drama will hit shelves on September 12, later this year. After a heart-pounding premiere episode, the Tatiana Maslany starring series will undoubtedly have an epic conclusion that every Clone Club member will want to have on their shelves!

On top of what should be a terrific season, BBC has promised plenty of bonus features that longtime fans are sure to love.  The five additional items listed below will undoubtedly excite viewers of the series who are interested in learning more about the creation of Orphan Black‘s final season.

"Island of Lost Souls, a detailed look at the Revival Village set and P.T. Season 5 airs on Saturday nights at 10/9 central on BBC America which is the show’s original time slot after a Thursday move last season.

Starring Tatiana Maslany (who won an Emmy for her work on the series), Jordan Gavaris, Kevin Hanchard, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Kristian Bruun, Ari Millen, and Maria Doyle Kennedy, Orphan Black has skyrocketed to popularity because of moving performances alongside consistently great writing.

In what should be another award-winning season, the show will offer fans’ closure as the ongoing war between the clone sestras and Neolutionists come to a head. The official synopsis released by BBC for Season 5 is:

"Cosima and Alison (both played by Maslany), and their allies have been brought to heel. Even more harrowing is that Sarah’s daughter Kira (Skyler Wexler) has joined them in surrender. Rachel, sitting at the head of the Neolution table, has carte blanche access to their clone biology, and with Helena (Maslany) pregnant with twins, her biology is the most coveted of all. Sarah, and those still able to fight, will uncover the missing pieces of the insidious conspiracy – and finally free themselves from the tyranny that has taken over their lives. Despite the great risk, the fight of her life will either set her and her sestras free, or see them meet their end."
