Better Call Saul Renewed for Season 4

I hope you’re ready for more wanton chicanery! Better Call Saul FINALLY got renewed for season 4 by AMC.

Jimmy McGill will be returning for a fourth season of shenanigans! Variety has reported that Better Call Saul has been renewed, meaning that I can finally stop worrying about whether or not we’d get to see Saul Goodman start his law practice.

The president of AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios — Charlie Collier — made the announcement on Tuesday, June 27:

"Supporting artists we respect and admire; delivering truly outstanding character development and nuanced dramatic twists and turns; continuing a legacy of bold creative choices; loving writing that is the best in the business: Truly, ‘S’all good, man."

Collier went on to congratulate the cast and crew of Better Call Saul, including co-creators and executive producers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, as well as Jimmy McGill himself — Bob Odenkirk. “Bring on season four!”

According to Variety, Better Call Saul, which picked up seven Emmys in 2016, enjoyed a season 3 that was the third-most watched “scripted cable drama” in 2017. And, hopefully, the show will pick up another Emmy or two, again this year.

Saul is one of those shows that does really well within certain demographics, but the overall ratings could/should be better. Hopefully, another year of awards for the show will remind people to catch up on season 3 and to settle in for season 4.

There is no announcement on when the show will start filming again. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I’m all about showrunners taking their time to make quality products, but these Thrones and Rick and Morty extended breaks are driving us all bananas!
