Become the Night King from Game of Thrones with this Facebook feature
The Game of Thrones season 7 finale is a mere two days away, and to celebrate, HBO is partnering with Facebook to allow fans to become the NIght King.
In a press release from HBO, it was announced today that fans can take photos and record brief videos of themselves as the Night King from Game of Thrones, ahead of the season 7 finale, “The Dragon and the Wolf.”
Now, as Game of Thrones fans eagerly await this Sunday’s season 7 finale, they have the opportunity to turn the tables on the Night King, claiming his title and transforming themselves into his icy visage, thanks to an innovative new augmented reality camera effect exclusively on Facebook.

Starting today, fans can access the Night King camera effect by tapping on the camera icon on the top left corner of the Facebook app or by swiping right from their News Feeds to open the Facebook Camera, a new in-app camera/capture experience that is packed with masks, frames, and style effects that users can apply to photos and videos.
By participating in the fun and becoming the Night King, fans will get a listen to a snippet of “The Army of the Dead,” which is a never-before-heard song from Game of Thrones composer, Ramin Djawadi. “The full song will first be heard in Sunday’s season finale and is also featured on the Season 7 soundtrack, available today at digital retailers.”
This certainly is a who lot of fun, and we’ve already been playing around with the app making fun little Night King photos. Here’s me as the Night King. Damn, I’m scary looking Night King.
