Game of Thrones season 7 Blu-Ray: List of Histories and Lore revealed
Game of Thrones season 7 on Blu-Ray will be released on December 12 and will include the always popular Histories and Lore animated videos.
We still have a couple months to go until Game of Thrones season 7 will be released on Blu-Ray/DVD (December 12). And, as part of that much-anticipated release, the animated Histories and Lore videos will be included.
Histories and Lore tell the stories from Westeros, not usually hit too in depth on the show. In that vein, many fans of the book series from which Game of Thrones is based — A Song of Ice and Fire from George R.R. Martin — enjoy the animated short videos, as they explain, sometimes in great detail, more obscure histories from the Seven Kingdoms…stories only told in the books.
HBO has released the first video titled: Valyria’s Last Scion: House Targaryen. Check it out:

Thanks to Redditor TheDragonDemands, who pointed out the full list of season 7’s Histories and Lore had been revealed through the British Board of Film Classification, we know the following videos will be included in the Game of Thrones season 7 Blu-Ray. Here are the titles and runtimes for each:
- The Dragonpit: 3:08
- The Citadel: 2:32
- Prophecies of the Known World: 4:08
- Highgarden: 3:24
- Casterly Rock: 1:20
- The Rains of Castamere: 5:40
- The Golden Company – 2:55
- The Hand of the King – 4:01
“The Rains of Castamere” is the theme music for House Lannister on the show, as well as the title of the song telling the story of how a young Lord Tywin Lannister completely wiped out the rebellious House Reyne. Hopefully, we’ll be treated to Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) narrating that particular video.
