The difference between Punisher on Netflix and the other Marvel series, such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, is it has to do with the guns. While all the series’ are violent, the idea of Punisher killing people with his impressive arsenal is a little too close to comfort considering the feelings after the recent Las Vegas killings.

Marvel also pulled the Punisher Netflix series from the upcoming New York Comic-Con.

"“We are stunned and saddened by this week’s senseless act in Las Vegas. After careful consideration, Netflix and Marvel have decided it wouldn’t be appropriate for Marvel’s The Punisher to participate in New York Comic-Con. Our thoughts continue to be with the victims and those affected by this tragedy.”"
