The Punisher on Netflix gets a release date and new trailer
Frank Castle is back, and as usual, he’s taking no prisoners in this all-new trailer for Netflix’s The Punisher.
One batch, two batch, penny and a dime. Jon Bernthal is back as The Punisher on Netflix, and we’re about to see the origins of the violent anti-hero, when the show returns on November 17, as officially announced by Netlifx, recently.
There’s also a new, badass trailer with Metallica’s “One” playing through, so sit back, and enjoy the show.

It’s clear from the trailer that while we’ll be learning about Frank Castle’s past — before he became The Punisher — we will get to see him in the present, taking revenge on those who murdered his family, as we see Karen from Daredevil attempting to be the voice of reason for the violent Castle.
That does pose one minor problem, however, as we learned in Daredevil that Castle’s family was supposedly murdered in a crossfire between the police and a group of gang members and drug dealers. Or at least that’s what we were led to believe.
We know by the end of Daredevil that the Blacksmith was none other than former Colonel Ray Schoonover, who taunted Castle with the death of his family before Castle put a bullet in his brain. So, will The Punisher season 1 explore deeper into the mystery of Frank’s family’s death, or will it be a simple origins story with the death of his family shown as the catalyst for this violent turn?
