(Video) The Walking Dead season 8 teaser hints at a major character’s death

The Walking Dead season 8 had its triumphant premiere on Sunday night, and the teaser for the rest of the season hints at a tragic loss for a major character.

The season 8 premiere of The Walking Dead saw Rick lead the combined forces of the Hilltop, the Kingdom, and Alexandria Safe-Zone to some major victories over Negan and his Saviors. In fact, All Out War is going so well for our favorite band of survivors that King Ezekiel makes some bold predictions in the teaser for the next episode.

If you paid attention to the teaser, you would have noticed that Ezekiel’s tiger, Shiva, seems to be trapped in some sort of ravine filled with walkers. In the comics, Shiva is killed by a group of walkers after she jumps in to save Ezekiel. Could the show be heading down that same tragically sad path?

If so, that means King Ezekiel is about to lose his best friend and start down a dark path where he blames himself for Shiva’s death. In the comics, Michonne is there to lend support to Ezekiel, but since she and Rick are a couple, perhaps Carol will be the shoulder the King leans on.

Of course, this could be a massive misdirect on AMC’s part and Shiva might make it out of the walker-filled ravine. We’d much prefer this, AMC.
