25 Most Brutal Deaths on The Walking Dead
By Shawn Lealos
Glenn
For a long time, Hershel was the most devastating death on The Walking Dead but that all changed with the season seven premiere. Outside of Rick, no one had survived as long on the series as Glenn Rhee. If anything, the one-time pizza delivery driver had proven with his marriage to Maggie and their baby on the way, that life could start anew even in the zombie apocalypse.

Glenn had even survived numerous near-death experiences, but fans of the comic books knew that when Negan arrived, the first thing he did was kill Glenn with his barbed wire baseball bat Lucille.
However, things looked like they might change from the comics when Negan instead killed Abraham on that fateful night. Sadly for fans of Glenn, and for Maggie who is pregnant with his child, Glenn died in “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be.”
Just when it looked like Glenn would survive to live and fight another day, Daryl attacked Negan, and that meant that Negan had to make another example from the group of survivors. That ended up being Glenn. Negan than took the bat and smashed Glenn in the head with it.
Maggie, who had lost her father Hershel and her sister Beth, now lost the last person in her life that she could call family in Glenn. As she cried, Glenn said “I’ll find you, ” and Negan finished the job, killing one of the most beloved characters in Walking Dead history.
