Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will star in a three-part miniseries on HBO titled Gunpowder.

If you were worried you wouldn’t get to see Kit Harington (Jon Snow) on HBO again until Game of Thrones returns sometime in 2019, we’ve got some great news for you, he’s back. On December 18, Harington’s pet project, Gunpowder, will air on HBO.

According to a press release from HBO, Gunpowder will follow the events surrounding Guy Fawkes and Robert Catesby’s November 5th planned attack on English Parlament — the Gunpowder Plot in London in 1605.

Harington, who is a descendant of Robert Catesby, portrays his ancestor in the series, while also serving as a co-executive producer.

"The actor [Harington] is a descendant of Robert Catesby, the central figure in the story, and plays him in the show. A committed Catholic at a time when Protestant England persecutes Catholics relentlessly, Catesby’s refusal to abandon his religion brings him to the edge of financial, social and psychological ruin. Mark Gatiss plays Robert Cecil, King James’ spymaster, who directs efforts to hunt down, torture and kill priests, while rank-and-file Catholics are subject to oppression and the loss of their property."
