Fans of the genre will be excited because Hulu’s teaser trailer mentions It, Dolores Claiborne, Misery, Green Mile, The Shining, Salem’s Lot, and many more books by King. Since this will be an anthology series, it leaves plenty of room to explore a plethora of King’s works while giving its own spin to some of the classics.
The cast of Castle Rock is an ensemble of stand-out talent. Melanie Lynskey (Togetherness), Jane Levy (Suburgatory), Sissy Spacek (Bloodline), Andre Holland (The Knick), and Scott Glenn (The Leftovers) are the stars of this series. Lynskey is the poor town realtor who suffers from a rare medical condition and the inability to sell houses in a nightmare landscape.
Spacek plays the mother of Holland’s character who happens to be an attorney for people on death row. Finally, Levy will be the town historian who has an unusual obsession with death and macabre, making the position a perfect fit for her.
We’re excited to see where these new shows take us in 2018.
