Showtime has released the trailer for season 7, as well as the premiere date and synopsis.

When Homeland season 6 ended, Carrie was reeling from the broken promise made by President Keane when she had 200 intelligence agents arrested after an assassination attempt on her life. The President had the group — including Saul Berenson — arrested and held without bringing charges against them. The situation appeared dire.

Now, in the trailer for season 7, we see a resolved Carrie preparing to go head to head with the White House, as well as infiltrating an extremist group. Check it out:

The synopsis for season 7 reveals Carrie isn’t backing down from Keane’s administration:

"Carrie has left her job in the White House and moved back to D.C. and is living with her sister Maggie to take on the Keane administration and secure the release of the 200."
