Game of Thrones stars pose with their official Royal Mail stamps
By Sarah Baye
It had been announced a few weeks ago that the Royal Mail would release a special collection of the Game of Thrones characters. Here’s what they look like.
For those who can’t send ravens, there’s still mail. And Royal Mail might have just found a way to make the latter almost as exciting. The UK postal service has officially launched its collection to celebrate the British contribution to the HBO drama series.
A set of 15 stamps in total, featuring the most emblematic characters of Game of Thrones as seen below: Sansa Stark, Jon Snow, Eddard Stark, Olenna Tyrell, Tywin Lannister, Tyrion Lannister, Cersei Lannister, Arya Stark, Jamie Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen.
To celebrate the launch, actors Maisie Williams, Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage and Lena Headey struck a pose with enlarged prints of their respective characters. Here’s Maisie Williams as Arya Stark.
Kit Harington as Jon Snow.
Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister.
Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen.
Lena Heady as Cersei Lannister.
Seriously. So cool. Where can I get those? (and yes, I’m talking about the oversized ones so I can hang them on my boring walls).

In addition to the main characters, the stamps also feature The Night King and White Walkers, Giants, Direwolves and Dragons, and, that goes without saying, the Iron Throne itself. So, until HBO decides when they will grace us with the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones in 2019, get into a new hobby: letter writing.
Who are we kidding, though? Those are not the type of stamps you sloppily slobber on with your tongue and waste away into trifling mailing. No, those need to be preserved and gazed at with profound admiration.
Yes, I called it. Royal Mail might have just made philately trendy again. Smart move. We don’t doubt there will be many fans of Game of Thrones who will want to get their hands on that collection.
