Meryl Streep’s daughter, Mamie Gummer, to join the cast of True Detective’s third season.

Just mere weeks ago, Meryl Streep was cast in season two of Big Little Lies. Following in her footsteps is her daughter, Mamie Gummer who will join the HBO family via True Detective’s third season. Gummer will be playing the role of Lucy Parcell–a mother of two who finds herself in the middle of a crime.

Created by Nic Pizzolatto, season 3 of True Detective takes place in the Ozarks (yes, another show to take place there!). It will involve a mystery that unfolds over decades and will cover three different time periods. Academy Award winner, Mahershali Ali (Moonlight) will be playing Wayne Hays, a police detective from Arkansas.
