Westworld season 2 reveals more info about Japanese park
By Shawn Lealos
Westworld season 2 is finally almost here after delays and a prolonged shooting schedule.
After becoming a critical and fan-loved hit series as soon as it debuted back in October 2016, it has been a long wait for fans wanting to see what was going to happen next after that explosive season 1 finale.
One of the big questions surrounding the season 1 finale was the introduction of the mysterious warriors dressed in traditional Japanese armor and wielding weapons in a room that the rebelling hosts passed by.
The initials “SW” made some fans think this was a Japanese version of Westworld called Samurai World. Those fans were very close.
Entertainment Weekly broke the news that this is the Japanese version of Westworld, but it is called Shogun World. Despite the name, it is exactly what everyone already figured out: a Japanese feudal version of the theme park.

This isn’t new. Anyone who watched the movie Westworld (1973) knows that there were two other parks other than Westworld itself. Those parks were Roman World and Medieval World. However, knowing that there is a feudal park in Japan called Shogun World makes one fantasize at what locations in other countries could be based on.
There are five parks operated by Delos Incorporated outside of Westworld, and with Shogun World, we now know at least one of them.
