The stakes are even higher in season 2 of Timeless
It looks like Rittenhouse is back and ready for some vengeance on this season of Timeless.
Last year the shadow organization took a hit but they aren’t ready to wave the white flag yet. In a new first look trailer, it’s revealed that Lucy has been kidnapped and the team is in shambles. Needless to say, things have gotten a lot more complicated since the days of just tracking down Flynn.
With Lucy missing, both Wyatt and Rufus will be desperate to save her. However, it’s revealed that six weeks have passed since Rittenhouse destroyed the team.

Naturally, Wyatt is frustrated with having to hide from them, but without the ship he’s useless. Everyone’s morale is low, but it does lead to Agent Christopher striking a deal with Flynn.
While the group struggles with how to stop the Rittenhouse sleeper agents, Lucy is stuck with her mother. The two are traveling together with the former stuck working for the organization. There’s never any doubt that Lucy’s allegiances still lie with the time team.
But saving her is a lot more personal than Rittenhouse is expecting, especially with Wyatt’s growing feelings. How far will he go to get her back this time?
Things are going to be a little more difficult without Mason Industries to help. Last year the time team had the backing of a million dollar organization, now they have nothing. Connor will have to rely on his wits to fix the ship, while Jiya deals with seizures. There might be a tough call down the line for the latter if her predicament worsens.
What’s even more terrifying is Rittenhouse’s swift movements changing history while Jiya and Mason are incapacitated. The tables have turned, and the group will need to act quickly if they want to save both the present and the future.

Timeless season 2 premieres this Sunday after American Ninja Warrior on NBC. The renewal came after a passionate fan campaign that made history. Whether the show can maintain strong enough ratings to warrant a third season this year is yet to be seen. However, fans at least have these next ten episodes to look forward to.
