Walking Dead spoilers: Another death and a comic book moment in episode 11

We have the latest Walking Dead spoilers for episode 11, ‘Dead or Alive Or,’ so read on at your own risk.
When Walking Dead season 8, episode 10, “The Lost and the Plunderers” ended, little had happened. Negan was mad about the Scavengers, and Simon went and — against Negan’s orders — killed everyone but Jadis. Rick talked to Negan on the walkie-talkie, said that Carl was dead and he wanted them to make peace but he was going to kill Negan anyway.
This week, on “Dead or Alive Or,” it seems like more of the same as the show flips to Daryl leading the people of Alexandria to The Hilltop, Negan planning his next attack, and Father Gabriel on the run. Here is a look at the Walkign Dead spoilers for this week.
First of all, there is a death in the new Walking Dead episode, and it is one that Eagle-eyed fans should have expected.

Remember before the break that Dr. Carson helped Father Gabriel escape from Negan’s camp. The two have been on the run ever since, but we haven’t seen them. All we knew was that Gabriel was very sick.
AMC released a survey to fans that are part of their AMC Popular Culturists program and someone on Reddit is part and revealed that a recent question was asking fans if they thought Father Gabriel was going to die from “the flu.” This was the first time that his actual illness was mentioned, and the flu seems kind of disappointing.
However, to make things worse for Father Gabriel, he is so sick that he seems to be going blind. Dr. Carson luckily finds him some antibiotics in this week’s episode but their delay caused The Saviors to catch up to them.
The Walking Dead spoilers here are that The Saviors kill Dr. Carson and take Father Gabriel prisoner again.
Why should we have expected this? Siddiq admitted when Carl was dying that he is a doctor — and this means that Dr. Carson is expendable. And, that is precisely what the show proves.
What about those second The Walking Dead spoilers? The comic book story that episode 11 will pay off is the plan by Negan to take out his enemies using the blood from the Walkers.

Sadly, this episode shows that it was Eugene that came up with the idea to infect the bullets with Walker blood so that even if a person is saved from a gunshot, they are still infected with the blood and will die anyway. Negan chooses to “taint” all their weapons with Walker blood before attacking The Hilltop — which is where everyone has gathered (Daryl gets everyone there).
