Walking Dead-Fear the Walking Dead crossover journey explained
By Shawn Lealos
The Walking Dead is still working to wrap up its eighth season as the All-Out War continues against Negan and the Saviors.
However, a lot of people are talking about the upcoming Walking Dead–Fear the Walking Dead crossover event that will move Morgan to the secondary show and start its fourth season. With some people even considering Fear the Walking Dead the superior show right now, that makes the crossover even more interesting.
The cast and crew were at WonderCon this weekend and had a lot to say about the upcoming crossover event for the two zombie apocalypse shows.

Andrew Chambliss (Once Upon a Time) is one of the new showrunners for Fear the Walking Dead along with Ian Goldberg. Deadline reported that Chambliss explained how the big Walking Dead crossover event would change things in the world of the TV shows.
"“This season is all about a journey from isolation to community and it’s about people in a bleak and dark world looking for a shred of hope to keep fighting.”"
Of course, the producers, showrunners and cast members didn’t reveal anything that would spoil the show for fans on the panel. The new cast members (Jenna Elfman, Maggie Grace and Garrett Dillahunt) were targets for fans who tried to get information from those still fresh with how the Walking Dead production is run.
When Grace tried to explain that she couldn’t reveal anything about her character, Chambliss came to the rescue.
"“Althea is thriving in the apocalypse in a way that some people wouldn’t.”"
One thing that we do know is that there is a time jump from the explosion at the dam that ended season 3 of Fear the Walking Dead. They have now caught up with the events on the regular Walking Dead show, and Morgan is who is crossing over from the main show to the secondary one.
The producers also said that allegiances have changed and those in positions of power have shifted in the time jump.

The season 4 premiere of Fear the Walking Dead takes place immediately after the season 8 finale of The Walking Dead. The two shows are also supposed to dovetail into each other, so there might be a chance that there is something from Fear in the season finale of Walking Dead.
Of course, what that is will remain unknown until the show hits the air on April 15. That is unless some Walking Dead spoilers slip out before that night.
