Emilia Clarke says so long to Game of Thrones

It seems as though Game of Thrones wrapped filming and the stars of the show started bidding farewell.

Game of Thrones has ten more months to say goodbye to the HBO series before it starts airing its final episodes next April. But one of the show’s biggest stars began her goodbyes a little early.

Emilia Clarke plays Daenerys Targaryen, A.K.A. Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, rightful queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms, the Mother of Dragons, the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, Breaker of Chains.

At least Clarke did play Dany. It looks like Game of Thrones officially wrapped filming within the last couple weeks. To mark the occasion, Clarke posted a picture of herself in Northern Ireland on Instagram with this message:

"“Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade. It’s been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing.”"

Well, that gave me all of the feels.

Lena Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister, tweeted a response to Clarke’s sweet posting,

"“Sweet words. Love you and HOLY BALLS #tistheend”"

Does this mean there is some serious action headed our way between these two powerhouse women? Or does “HOLY BALLS” just mean “I can’t believe it’s over”?

Clarke also posted a picture of herself, Conleth Hill (Varys), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), and showrunner Dan Weiss at a Liam Gallagher (Oasis) concert. She tweeted,

"“The human embodiment of a wonderwall. Thank you #liamghallager for the reminder.”"

Does this mean these three are the last ones standing? Maybe they were the final three on set in Belfast and decided to catch a show together to celebrate.

In any case, we’ll find out in ten, long months.
