The second season of GLOW debuts this Friday on Netflix.

The ladies of Netflix’s GLOW stopped by WWE SmackDown on Tuesday night to “perform” a bit with WWE stars Lana and Naomi.

Alison Brie was the only one who really has any lines with Naomi, the former women’s champion, and Lana, the Ravishing Russian. Brie, who plays Ruth Wilder on GLOW plays “Zoya the Destroya” on the show within a show. Naturally, Brie with her Zoya accent went toe-to-toe with Lana.

More from Netflix

Costars Sydelle Noel (Cherry Bang), Shakira Barrera (Yolanda), Kimmy Gatewood (Stacey Beswick), Rebekka Johnson (Dawn Rivecca), Britt Baron (Justine), and Jackie Tohn (Melanie Rosen) also made an appearance.

I’m the first to admit that I haven’t watched wrestling since the days of Bret “the Hitman” Hart and “Macho Man” Randy Savage. It’s nice to know absolutely nothing has changed. It’s still campy and “so-bad-it’s-good.” It’s reality T.V. before reality T.V. was a thing.

But this little guest spot was painful to watch. When actors or actresses try to do scripted dialogue live, it never really works. Regardless, their appearance reminds everyone that GLOW is back this Friday!

In other wrestling news that’s sort of related to this, one of the original gorgeous ladies of wrestling is getting honored. In case you forgot, Netflix based their version of GLOW on the real 1980s wrestling show, G.L.O.W.

The WWE inducted retired professional wrestler, Ivory, into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

Ivory, whose real name is Lisa Mary Moretti, got her start on Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling during its first two seasons as Tina Ferrari. She then started wrestling for the WWE (then WWF) in 1999 under the name Ivory.
