Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams posts “goodbye” to her beloved role that made her famous.

Game of Thrones officially finished filming as of last week. That means, our favorite cast members will never again don their black feathers, regal gowns, and metal armor ever again on-screen.

Although showrunners held the wrap party a couple of weeks ago, some filming still needed to be completed. The last day on set was July 6 on the King’s Landing set, according to Watchers on the Wall.

But before that, the crew shot some scenes at the Magheramorne set after a three-month absence. You may remember reports of a gigantic, snowy battle scene being filmed here. Watchers on the Wall posted some great pictures from both sets in the last days of filming.

Maisie Williams who for the entire run of the series played Arya Stark seemed to be the last girl standing. She posted a special goodbye message on her Instagram page on the last day of filming:

"“goodbye Belfast. goodbye arya. goodbye game of thrones. what a joy I’ve had. here’s to the adventures to come #lastwomanstanding #barely #immasleepforthenextfouryears #justkiddingidontsleep”"

In the comments section, Lena Headey, also known as Cersei Lannister and who currently sits on the Iron Thrones, replied “QUEEN” with tons of emojis.

Could this all be a hint of what’s to come? Will Arya indeed be the last woman standing and sit upon the Iron Throne?

It won’t feel real for me until I see it on-screen next April. The last season of Game of Thrones is supposed to premiere. Although, HBO still hasn’t announced an official date.

So, we shouldn’t see any more picture leaks from set anymore since the show is officially in post-production. Now we will need to piece together clues from cast interviews and our own theories of how it all ends.
