Julie Ann Emery, who just finished filming season three of AMC’s Preacher, has joined Catch-22 in a recurring role alongside director/executive producer Clooney.

Emery is set to play Marion Scheisskopf, the disenchanted wife to Clooney’s parade obsessed Scheisskopf. While Marion feels neglected and bored by her oblivious husband, she finds life and comfort in the arms of Abbott’s Yossarian.
In the book, Yossarian isn’t the only man she finds comfort with, as the men under the detested Scheisskopf take great pleasure in taking revenge on him by sleeping with his wife.
In any event, Marion will eventually find that Nurse Duckett (Tessa Ferrer) will present a challenge to her claim on Yossarian.
Catch-22 is set in Italy during WWII and focuses on a company of U.S. Air Force pilots, particularly the “artful dodger” Yossarian. He is just trying to complete his quota of missions and go home, which is impossible because his commander keeps increasing the required number of missions before anyone can reach it.
It is also impossible to leave by reason of insanity because of the insidious Catch-22 rule, which states that any man who risks his life by flying dangerous missions must be insane, but that any soldier wishing to leave duty values his life and must, therefore, be sane.
