Game of Thrones actor to appear in British ice dancing pair biopic
Now that Game of Thrones wrapped, more actors are popping up in other projects.
Will Tudor, who played Olyvar Frey on Game of Thrones, got a new gig recently. He will star in a dramatic film about British skating team Torvill and Dean.
Though Tudor hasn’t appeared on Game of Thrones since Season 5, he has kept busy. He appeared on Mr. Selfridge as Frank Whiteley and Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments as Sebastian Verlac.

Tudor will star as Christopher Dean in the two-hour film, while Poppy Lee Friar (Ackley Bridge) will star as Jayne Torvill.
The film’s writer, William Ivory, spent a lot of time interviewing the real Torvill and Dean to ensure accuracy. Gillies MacKinnon is attached to direct the ITV movie, which will begin filming later this month.
You may be saying, “I’ve never heard of Torvill and Dean.” Neither did I. But the ice dancing partnership is well-known in England.
The biopic will tell the story about the skating legends from both personal and professional angles. The famous ice dancing partnership won the gold medal in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo after scoring the highest figure skating marks for a single program of all time. They received 12 perfect 6.0s and six 5.9s for their Bolero routine.

The film should premiere on ITV sometime next year.
