Netflix has announced the production of Hit and Run, 10-episode “political espionage thriller series.”

Hit and Run will be led by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff, both who are also busy with another Netflix series Fauda.

Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin will also be a major part of the show’s production. The pair were the creative minds behind Amazon’s  Z: The Beginning of Everything. Mandeville Films will also serve as an executive producer, marking their second series order in only a few months.

Hit and Run requires no imagination to explain the show through the title. A fatal hit and run accident completely upends a man’s life. Losing a wife suddenly tends to have such an effect on a man. Upon further investigation, more mysteries arise that leads one to believe it was more than a mere accident.

All four of Raz, Issacharoff, Prestwich, and Yorkin will have writing credits alongside their executive producer titles. The pair is integral to Mandeville Films, which is having quite a year. The studio also had Fix picked up by ABC.

Yorkin and Prestwich were also executive producers with The Killing. They also served as the creative minds and producers of Amazon’s Z: The Beginning of Everything, a comedy, The Education of Max Bickford on CBS and FX’s The Riches.

Raz and Issacharoff have parlayed the award-winning reception of Fauda, also on Netflix, which will release the third season next year. Hit and Run sounds like it will appeal to subscribers enjoying the Netflix MindHunter or Unabomber series.

Per the Nexflix Hit and Run frontpage, the show will air in 2020. Could that date allude to the end of Fauda?
