Is that a bird? Is that a plane? Nope, it’s Henry Cavill heading soaring into the lead role for Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher.
The Witcher Netflix series has just brought on Henry Cavill to play the lead role of Geralt of Rivia in its fantasy saga adaptation Andrzej Sapkowski’s novel by the same name. The story tells the tale of a family and Cavill’s character Geralt of Rivia who is a monster hunter. Geralt will try to figure out his place in the world and crosses paths with a sorceress and princess who harbor a deep, dark secret.
Together, the three of them will navigate the Continent together, according to an article written by Deadline. The series was announced last year and will be written, directed, and ran by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich of Marvel’s The Defenders and Daredevil.
