On this weeks The Good Place, Michael and Janet are in deep doo doo for medaling with the humans.

There’s a demon on the loose on the latest episode of The Good Place. While in real life, Adam Scott is anything but a demon, on this show he’s one of the bad guys.

As we saw last week, Chidi and Simone decided to study decision-making after near-death experiences thanks to Eleanor showing up at St. John’s University asking for help learning how to become a better person.

Michael, who believes that Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jason have a better chance at being good people when they’re together, helps push Tahani and Jason to join the study.

But Shawn hacked into the system and figured out that Michael interfered with the gang’s life on earth, so he sends Trevor up to earth to screw up their plans and wreak havoc on their study.

Trevor is extra. He’s overly friendly, which immediately annoys Eleanor.

Michael appears on earth (again) in a strange Dick Tracy costume to confront Trevor, and he’s immediately mocked. Instead of Trevor ratting Michael out, he’s taking the more fun route and continues to mess with the humans. And as Trevor points out, Michael can’t interfere anymore because they all know what he looks like.

Meanwhile, Eleanor is upset with Chidi because she wants to continue having private classes with him, be he blows her off saying the study is taking up too much of his time. So, Trevor may not have to work too hard to drive a wedge between these two.

Trevor invites the group to the most ridiculously themed restaurants in all of Australia: Cowboy Skyscraper Buffet. The restaurant is made up of the most outrageous American clichés including a gun instead of a buzzer for when your table is ready; Mount Rushmore made up of Judge Judy, Paris Hilton, David Hasselhoff, and Hulk Hogan; wait staff dressed like cowboys and cowgirls; and a buffet full of fried food.

Trevor continues to turn Eleanor off as he gives the gang personalize “Brain-y Bunch” shirts and suggests that they all live together. Janet shows up as their waitress just as Trevor orders the gang drinks to get them wasted. But she vows to keep a close eye on him, even if she can’t make things appear, like the beer and food. (Earth Janet has no powers.)

Meanwhile, Trevor also plants seeds of doubt in Chidi’s head about him spending his free time with the study participants.

The next day back at the study, Tahani is embarrassed by her drunkenness the night before, and the group finds out that nothing happened between her and Jason. He was a perfect gentleman the night before and simply took her home. So, Trevor’s plan didn’t work.

Eleanor didn’t show up to the group, so Chidi went looking for her to try to convince her to come back. “I’m asking you as a friend.” And she agrees to return.

Just when Michael and Janet feel they’ve beaten Trevor, the Doorman appears to bring them back to the Judge. She knows, and she’s pissed!

Apparently, all of Michael and Janet’s interfering has really messed with the universe in weird ways. Hugh Jackman’s circus musical made a ton of money, and the Jacksonville Jaguars are actually good! They’re in a ton of trouble, so much so, that Michael will be forced to retire and Janet will be marbleized!

Suddenly, everything Janet summoned when she was on earth started appearing – like a printer when it’s back online and starts printing jobs waiting in the queue. With this distraction, Michael and Janet are able to escape back to earth.

Could the becoming mortal now, too? We’ll have to see next week at The Good Place every Thursday night at 9:30 p.m. EST on NBC.
