Kate Winslet is bae. There’s simply no other way to put it. From Titanic to The Holiday and everything in between and since then, she has made a place in our hearts. Now, she is now prepping to make her limited series television debut.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that another one will be joining them in the word of limited series television.

Winslet will be starring in an HBO series, Mare of Easttown, with Gavin O’Connor (Suicide Squad 2) directing. Run All Night’s Brad Ingelsby will be taking on the role of showrunner, creator, and writer for the series.

So who will Kate Winslet be playing? A small-town detective. How cool does that sound?! She is tasked with solving a murder during a time in her life where everything is falling apart.

Not much else is known besides that, but it’s certainly enough to keep us intrigued until further notice. Apart from starring in the series, Winslet will also be an executive producer alongside O’Connor and Ingeslby.

This is not Winslet’s first time being on the television screen as she previously starred in HBO’s miniseries, Mildred Pierce, for which even won an Emmy.

Over the years, Winslet has made a name for herself snagging an Oscar win for her role in The Reader, along with being nominated 5 times. Of course, most of us remember Kate Winslet from Titanic as the magnificent Rose.
