Kidman reveals major Big Little Lies spoiler by accident
It’s rare that the star of a television show spoils a significant plot point of a popular T.V. show, so enjoy it! Spoilers for Big Little Lies ahead!
No one is more excited about Big Little Lies’ return to the small screen more than one of its stars and executive producers, Nicole Kidman.
The Academy and Emmy award winner may have let a huge spoiler slip during a panel discussion about the show’s much-anticipated second season.
According to a report from Cosmopolitan, it started by Kidman gushing about her on-screen husband, the abusive and sadistic Perry (played by Alexander Skarsgard): “He was the most incredible acting partner, and then he came back for season 2.”

Hold the phone. Didn’t Perry die last season? Didn’t Bonnie (Zoe Kravitz) push him down a bunch of stairs? How will he be back?
It could have been smoothed over if no one paid any attention to it. But the show’s other star and executive producer, Reese Witherspoon, hollered, “Girl, stop talking!”
When Kidman tried to backtrack, it was too little too late. The cat was out of the bag.
Even though Skarsgard isn’t seen in the trailer, I can’t imagine she would lie about something like this. After all, Perry’s mother will be joining the cast this season. And if you didn’t know who was playing his mother, she’ll be played by a little-known actress named Meryl Streep.
Maybe Perry will appear in flashbacks.
We only found out that Perry was Jane’s (Shailene Woodley) attacker and the father of her son at the very end of the first season. They could explore more into that connection.
They could also show us more insight into the relationship between Kidman’s character, Celeste, and Perry’s mother and why it seems so contentious. I’m sure Perry has a lot to do with it.
We’ll find out soon enough when Big Little Lies returns June 9 on HBO.
