First Look: Joshua Orpin in Superboy costume spotted on Titans season 2 set
By Monita Mohan
Fans of DC Universe’s Titans have got their first glimpse of Joshua Orpin’s Superboy, as a new image of the actor in costume surfaces.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s the first image of Joshua Orpin on the Titans season two set. Orpin was cast as Superboy/Conner Kent earlier this year, and GeeksWorldWide reporter Thomas Polito has now shared an image of the actor in full costume, FullCircleCinema reports.
Check out the image here.
As many expected, Orpin’s Titans costume is a replica of most modern renditions of Superboy – black T-Shirt with the red ‘S’ symbol combined with blue trousers. Those in favor of Superboy’s classic (and far more superhero-esque) outfit will be left disappointed, but the new costume looks to be a faithful reproduction of the fan-favorite comic book one. This version of Superboy’s costume hasn’t also been popularised by Young Justice, another DC Universe show.

This will be the first live-action adaptation of this character and he is already a highly anticipated addition to the cast given Superboy’s continued popularity across comic book and animated media.
At the end of Titans season one, Superboy was seen escaping a Cadmus facility with Krypto. How his path will cross with Dick Grayson and the rest of the Titans is still unclear, but given the expansive cast of the show’s sophomore season, one can expect many intertwined subplots impacting the vast cast of characters.
Along with Orpin’s Superboy, Titans season two has added Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne, Esai Morales as Deathstroke, Chella Man as Deathstroke’s son Jericho, Chelsea T. Zhang as Deathstroke’s daughter Ravager, Drew Van Acker as Aqualad and Natalie Gumede as Mercy Graves.
The returning main cast includes Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly as Dove and new season two regular Curran Walters as Jason Todd.
Titans is scheduled to return for its second season on DC Universe this fall.
