The series follows single mother Louise when one night in a bar she meets and kisses David, who turns out to be her new boss. Complicating matters further, Louise’s new friend Adele turns out of be David’s wife.
As Louise gets to know the couple she becomes obsessed with and entangled in their marriage and secrets. As Louise is approached separately by each of them, she must tease out the truth of their relationship and her place in it. But, once she uncovers their secrets, the danger lies in how far they are willing to go to keep those secrets hidden.
It sounds weird, twisted, and sexy, and everything I like in a pyschological thriller.
Readers who know my tastes will know that Hannibal is possibly my favorite television series of all time, so I am automatically excited for anything written by anyone who was involved with writing Hannibal. Steve Lightfoot is credited with writing just over half of Hannibal’s 39 episodes, so he certainly had as much to do with the series tone and prose as anyone.
And, since series co-writer Angela LaManna also wrote an episodes of Hannibal and worked with Lightfoot on The Punisher, its safe to say that I have great faith in this writing team. I’m looking forward to something wicked, fun, beautiful, and twisted.
