A Chorus Line was created by director-choreographer Michael Bennett and the musical navigates the high-energy and heartbreaking process of auditioning for a Broadway musical and is informed by the accounts of the performers who first brought the show to life.

The musical had a glorious 15-year Broadway run and was also revived on Broadway in 2006. A Chorus Line has previously been adapted into a film though a rather unsuccessful one.
