Schitt’s Creek: Sixth and final season gets a premiere date
Schitt’s Creek will return for a final run this winter!
It seems like the critically acclaimed series has only just hit peak popularity as it’s on its way out. Deadline reports Schitt’s Creek will air season 6 starting January 7 before it officially comes to an end.
Co-creators Dan and Eugene Levy announced earlier this year that the series would end after this upcoming season. It makes sense, this allows Schitt’s Creek to go out while it’s on top and allow for the show to end on its own terms.
On top of the father-son duo, Schitt’s Creek also stars Catherine O’Hara and Annie Murphy as the other members of the Rose family. Chris Elliott, Emily Hampshire, Noah Reid, Dustin Milligan, Jennifer Robertson, Sarah Levy, and Karen Robinson round out the remaining cast members as various members of the town.
The Pop TV flagship series earned a handful of Emmy nods this year. On top of an Oustanding Comedy series nomination, both O’Hara and Eugene Levy are nominated for Lead Actress and Actor. The show also received a nomination for Oustanding Contemporary Costumes.
Be sure to catch up on the series before the final fourteen episodes air on Pop TV on January 7, 2020. It’s currently available to stream on the Pop TV site or Netflix, with the latter serving a large role in the show’s surge in popularity.
