It’s time to celebrate Halloween on this week’s episode of 9-1-1!

9-1-1 has had some great Halloween-themed episodes, but this week’s episode might be its best. Between scary crows to some of the weirdest calls the team has had to answer, it pretty much had everything–starting with Buck’s return.

Things are pretty awkward for Buck given he tried to sue the department and Bobby. The team isn’t laying out the red carpet for his return, which means he has to put in extra effort to get back in their good graces. Bobby, in particular, is a bit hesitant to get Buck back out there so he assigns him some less intense duties, like handing out Halloween candy. Isn’t that the type of behavior that pissed Buck off in the first place? Just saying.

Along with Bobby, Eddie wasn’t too excited about Buck’s return either. This one makes sense considering the friendship between these two men and how close Buck had gotten to Christopher. I’m happy to report that the two made up before this 9-1-1 episode came to an end! Thank goodness for that because this bromance is one we can’t do without.

Things ended up turning around for Buck as well after he saved a man involved in a hit-and-run accident that was stuck in a woman’s windshield. I told you their Halloween episodes were nuts! This one involved a woman hitting a man who gets stuck in her windshield. But that’s not it. Because of the head injuries she gets, she doesn’t even realize that for over a day, this man has been stuck in her windshield, until Buck sees them.

Buck gets hurt in the process, and because he’s been taking blood thinners, it proves to be a dangerous situation for him. But fear not, he’s doing just fine and Bobby has officially brought him back on board with the team. Yay, happiness all around!

Maddie gets herself in some trouble this week after the woman she had been befriending learns of Maddie’s truth. It was only a matter of time before that happened, and it may just cost Maddie her job! Come on girl, you’ve been through more than enough, don’t do this to yourself!

But we can’t really blame her for wanting to help another woman stuck in an abusive relationship. She’s been through it all before, and as a result, Maddie sees herself in this woman. But I have a feeling, it won’t end great for her if she doesn’t deal with her trauma.

The spookiest part of this 9-1-1 Halloween episode is when a young girl who has run away from home has been found. Finding the young girl led Athena to a dark, abandoned house in which she finds a basement full of starving kids, much like the young girl. In a shocking twist, we learn that the parents had them locked up down there! How horrific is that?!

Once again, 9-1-1 kills it with their Halloween episode but starting next week, it’s back to our regularly scheduled madness.

9-1-1 airs every Monday on Fox at 8 PM EST!
