Chilling Adventures of Sabrina part 3 premiere recap: Chapter Twenty-One: The Hellbound Heart
By Ariba Bhuvad
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is back!
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is back with all its hellish glory, and things are as dark as ever. As we’ve become accustomed to this show’s vibe, part 3 picks up on a very weird note. Sabrina Spellman has learned that Lucifer is her father, which makes her the Devil’s daughter?
But it’s all very strange because Lucifer wants Sabrina to rule with him in Hell. But does he want her to do so as his daughter…or what? In any case, Sabrina and company found a way to keep the Dark Lord at bay, but it came at the expense of using Nick. You see, the Dark Lord was put into Nick’s body, and sent off with Lilith.
One doesn’t have to brainstorm the sort of torture Nick had to endure, and we’d be fooled to think Sabrina didn’t want to do something about it. Meanwhile, Ambrose and Prudence (who are hooking up now) are traveling the world looking for Faustus Blackwood, while Hilda and Zelda are trying their best to take care of the Academy.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina wastes no time getting into the hellish thick of things as Sabrina tries to come up with a game plan to save Nick.
With the Academy out of commission, all the students are staying at the Spellmans, which makes it all that easier on Sabrina to go do her thing.
Luckily, Zelda is going to take over the Academy, and soon enough, the Spellmans will have their home back. Also, can someone explain to me where these kids’ families are? Were they just born into the Academy, and how come we never see anyone they’re related to?
Over the course of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, we’ve seen Sabrina do some very questionable things. But this episode brings her into a new light as she takes it upon herself to open up the gates of Hell. No big deal, right? It’s just Hell.
Ultimately, Sabrina walks into Hell via one of Dorian’s paintings (which apparently has an entrance for any obscure place in this world). But wait, Sabrina doesn’t go alone. Harvey, Theo, and Roze are joining her! And as long as they bring back Dorian something for the hideous looking pimple on his face, they’ll be able to come back safely.
After arriving in Hell, the trio makes its way through the frightening and very dangerous landscape. Eventually, they find themselves in front of Lilith, who wants Sabrina’s help to be taken seriously in Hell. The demons of Hell don’t like the idea of Lilith taking over and are trying to petition Caliban (this hunky looking model) to take over Hell.
It all comes down to one thing–if Sabrina takes the throne, then she can have Nick back. It spells utter chaos for the rest of the world, but if she can save Nick, that’s all that matters.
So just like that, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina makes Sabrina the Queen of Hell and makes Lilith her regent while she lives on Earth.
Nick may be out of hell, but it’s not over yet. And I don’t think it’s going to get any easier from here on out. Time will tell, won’t it?
