Doom Patrol has added a Glee alum, Samantha Marie Ware, to its ever-expanding season 2 cast. We have the details.

DC Universe’s quirky superhero show, Doom Patrol, has added a new member to its troupe—Samantha Marie Ware, best known for her role as Jane Hayward in Glee.

Ware will be taking on one of the many personalities of Crazy Jane—played by Diane Guerrero. Jane’s multiple personalities—a result of childhood trauma—have the same external appearance, though each persona has their own set of powers.

However, within Jane’s mind, the personalities have their own forms and look like distinct individuals—as was revealed in Doom Patrol season 1.

Fans can assume that season 2 will be taking another trip into Jane’s mind and that one particular personality might be coming to the fore—perhaps to help or hinder Jane’s efforts.

Alongside the musical and acting prowess Ware displayed on Glee, she played a recurring role in Netflix’s What/ If, and has had one-off appearances in NCIS: New Orleans, God Friended Me, and Barry.

Ware’s casting follows the news that Abigail Shapiro will be joining season 2 of Doom Patrol as Dorothy, the mysterious daughter of the founder of Doom Patrol, The Chief (Timothy Dalton), and NCIS: New Orleans’ Karen Obilom, who will be playing Roni Evans, a military vet with a connection to Cyborg/ Victor Stone (Jovian Wade).

Alongside Guerrero, Dalton, and Wade, the majority of the Doom Patrol season one cast will be returning for the next installment—April Bowlby as Elasti-Girl, Matt Bomer and Matthew Zuk as Negative Man, Brendan Fraser and Riley Shanahan as Robotman.
