BoJack Horseman season 6, episode 14 recap: Angela
By Ariba Bhuvad
BoJack Horseman learns that along with everything else, he may be losing the only thing that ever mattered to him–Horsin’ Around.
BoJack Horseman is lost. BoJack Horseman has hit a dead-end. And now, BoJack Horseman has no idea what will come next. But what about the others in BoJack’s life? This is what the episode focuses on, as he continues to hit rock bottom.
Princess Carolyn is on her way to potentially taking over a studio–a female-led one, at that. But eventually, she decides that she will take this on alongside Judah (who loves her by the way!). Side note: Judah professes his love for Princess Carolyn while singing her a song.
Diane’s life is rapidly changing as well! Her book is officially coming out, and Guy has just brought up the possibility of moving to Houston. His ex-wife will be moving there and he wants to be close to his son, so Diane may be making another move!

I know BoJack Horseman is just an animated show, but it’s always given us very real, relatable situations and characters. Case in point–Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter. What was once a very toxic, strange relationship is now a friendship in which both have found closure.
Diane ends up calling Mr. Peanutbutter after seeing that he too is writing a book. Their conversation brings them peace as they’re both busy in their own lives. Never thought that would happen, right?
Throughout the six seasons, one of the funniest things we’ve got from the show is the random appearance of Margo Martindale. It never makes sense, but we love it every time it happens–like this episode.
You may not remember Angela, but she makes a return in this episode. She was the one that fired Herb back in the day because he was gay and now she’s back. BoJack is invited to her house and shows up drunk, only to learn that he is not going to be in Horsin’ Around. All his scenes will be edited out! Ugh, kick them while they’re down, why don’t ya.
She proceeds to tell him that he will no longer receive royalties for the show because they are going to buy him out. It’s peculiar that with just a couple of episodes left in the season, we’re seeing BoJack Horseman at such a low point in his life. Everything has been taken away from him, and now the one thing he was at least remembered for is going too.
He leaves Angela’s house a hot mess and goes home, well, his old home that now has other people living in it. But drunk as can be, he puts in one of the Horsin’ Around Blu-Rays he took from Angela’s house and watches his audition.
Perhaps looking back to those early days will be what BoJack needs to snap out of it. Let’s hope so, anyway.
