Where, oh, where did Marty’s therapist go on Ozark? Well, this is going to be awkward.

Ozark was off to a startling start as Marty realizes where that sweet ‘ol therapist of his has gone. While he’s been in the dark about her whereabouts, we as the audience know that she became victim to Helen’s scheming, conniving ways. Yes, that’s right, she’s dead and gone, and we can all blame Helen for that.

Marty comes to learn the truth on his own when he goes looking for her and finds her house abandoned. To his shock, he finds the therapist’s appointment book and finds the name Helen Pierce etched into one of the appointment slots.

It doesn’t take Marty much time to realize that Helen is likely responsible for this disappearance. But um, Marty has touched half the things in the house by now so that won’t go over well if the cops end up there and find his fingerprints.

Ruth heads back to work at the casino in this episode of Ozark, and while Marty and Wendy have asked her to remain calm about her ordeal, the same cannot be expected of Ben. He’s hungry for revenge and he’s looking right at Frank Jr. for it.

He’s unable to find Frank Jr., and when he fails to do that and ends up surrounded by Frank Jr.’s men, he heads off to the bar and gets in a bloody fistfight with a rando. This lands him in prison for the night and proves that we’re getting closer and closer to the inevitable implosion of the man that is Ben.

It was only a matter of time before Wendy was going to ask Ben to leave, and it finally happens Ozark fans. But Ben is not going to leave so easily, and it’s certainly presenting a huge problem for Marty, Wendy, and Helen.

Things take a dark turn for the worst when during the Gala, Ben shows up in an angry frenzy. He finally dives off the deep end and he’s putting Wendy right in his crosshairs. Remember the first season of Ozark when the Byrde family moved to the Ozarks because of what happened in Chicago? You know that thing, that murderous thing.

Well, Ben shows up at the gala and starts questioning Wendy right then and there about Chicago. And as expected, Ben completely loses it and is dragged away kicking and screaming. Clearly, Helen is going to step in and take over at this point, and so its officially off with Ben to the state hospital.

It’s heartbreaking to see how Ben reacts to the whole situation and seeing Ruth’s visit with him the next day hurt even more. And it comes as no surprise whatsoever that Ben did not want to see Wendy during the visit.

But don’t worry, Ozark fans, if you love Ben then you’ll be happy to know that he made his way out of the hospital courtesy of Darlene. This probably wasn’t the best idea given that Ben’s first stop was Helen’s home. He got in her face right in front of her daughter, and if you’re thinking what I’m thinking, then you know Ben is as good as dead.

Is it too early to say, R.I.P. Ben?
