How to Get Away with Murder season 6, episode 12 recap: Let’s Hurt Him

We know who killed Asher on How to Get Away with Murder, but he was a small cog in the wheel. There are bigger parties at play here.
Gabriel Maddox was horrified by the truth – the FBI was behind the death of Asher Millstone. The latest episode of How to Get Away with Murder begins with Gabriel desperately trying to convince Michaela Pratt, Connor Walsh, and Oliver Hampton that Agent Pollack is the real killer.
They do not believe him because Gabriel cannot be trusted. But this revelation is going to play a massive role in the events of the rest of the episode.
A Life on the Line
Gabriel called his mother Vivian (Marsha Stephanie Blake) when he learned of the FBI’s involvement in Asher’s death. He’s afraid for his life, and so is his mother. Vivian appeals to Annalise Keating to use Gabriel’s accusations in her court case, but Vivian won’t let Annalise use Gabriel’s name. They have to protect him.
But Annalise has more on her mind. The department of justice has decided to pursue the death penalty in its trial against Annalise. She’s got her back to the wall, but Teagan Price has an even stronger resolve than before to protect her client. Is Annalise just her client?

Most of us watching How to Get Away with Murder have noticed the intense chemistry between Teagan and Annalise. The two characters have remained professional partners, but honestly, if these two characters survive the end of the series, we’re expecting them to be an endgame couple. But why are we talking about this romantic pairing now?
Because the romantic rival reappears, Robert Hsieh (Cas Anvar) insists he wants to join Teagan’s team to defend Annalise. He’ll do it pro bono. Neither woman takes him up on the offer, even though he makes it clear to Teagan that he’s crazy about Annalise.
Can’t blame the man – Annalise is magnetic and the only person without blood on her hands. Robert wants to make sure she survives this ridiculous witch hunt and appeals to Teagan to take him on board.
But she refuses because Robert has an ulterior romantic motive. He points out that so does Teagan, even if she won’t address her feelings for Annalise. He gets in her head, but will the showrunners pull at this string?
