Rick and Morty star Chris Parnell promises a shorter wait between seasons

Chris Parnell, who plays Jerry on the hit Adult Swim series Rick and Morty, recently assured fans to expect shorter wait times between seasons.
Fans of Rick and Morty are getting pumped up for tonight’s premiere episode as the beloved animated series returns for the second half of its fourth season. However, some fans might also be wondering how many episodes they should savor before the series goes on one of its extraordinarily long breaks.
Anyone who has watched Rick and Morty from the beginning knows that part of being a fan is exercising their patience to its absolute limit. According to TVLine, fans had to wait 15 months between the first two seasons and then a whopping 21 months between season two and three, followed by 25 months between season 3 and season 4!
So does that mean it’s going to take almost 30 months to get a fifth season? Not quite.

Show star Chris Parnell, who voices Jerry in the show, sat down with TVLine for an interview ahead of the new batch of episodes.
According to Parnell, the mega-renewal for 70 new episodes of Rick and Morty will allegedly give the writers more freedom and momentum to churn out the seasons faster than ever before.
"“We’ll see less lengthy breaks between seasons going forward because of that. And it’s very gratifying to know we’re going to have all those episodes,” said the actor."
Parnell also added that he hoped Jerry would still be around for all 70 of those episodes, but with a show like this one, you never know for sure.
Aside from that, he talked about a few hints for the upcoming episodes, like Jerry getting involved with… beekeeping? Check out the complete interview at the aforementioned interview link.
