‘Just Beyond’: Disney+ orders up some scares with this R.L. Stine series
Disney+ has ordered up a 8-episode anthology series based on R.L. Stine’s ‘Just Beyond’ graphic novels! Here’s what we know so far!
What a time to be a R.L. Stine fan! First, we received news that a brand-new Goosebumps series will be heading our way and now TVLine is reporting that Disney+ ordered an anthology series based on R.L. Stine’s graphic novels Just Beyond!
Horror fans and lovers of classic literature with zombies sprinkled in, there’s even more good news for you. Author of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Seth Grahame-Smith, will serve as the creator of the series. R.L. Stine and Seth Grahame-Smith?
Yes, please. With a duo like that, I can’t even begin to express how beyond excited I am to check out Just Beyond the second it lands on Disney+.

Just Beyond is expected to be a horror-comedy series that’s perfect for both adults and children. Unfortunately, we’re still in the early stages of development, as a writer’s room is just now being put together. However, we can expect to see the series land on the streaming platform in Fall of 2021.
Just Beyond: The Scare School is the first volume and was released last August; it ended up being the best-selling original graphic novel for the publisher, BOOM! In the first entry of the universe, we follow a group of students that uncover a mystery in their school. If you’re looking to check into the series, the second volume titled Just Beyond: The Horror of Happy Landings will be released on May 12th!
This isn’t the first time that Disney has worked with R.L. Stine; in fact, Walt Disney World once had a Goosebumps: Horrorland attraction! Say what?! I didn’t know it was possible to feel this jealous of every person who got to explore the spookiness of Horrorland in real life!
Needless to say, I’m looking forward to any and all news for Disney+’s Just Beyond series.
