Florence Pugh and Vera Farmiga are reportedly among the new casting additions to the Hawkeye series at Disney Plus.

According to a new exclusive from Variety, the new Hawkeye series at Disney Plus has recently cast several roles and added an exciting slate of new and returning actors to the show’s roster. Among those names include Florence Pugh, who will make her entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Natasha Romanoff’s sister Yelena Belova in the yet-to-be-released Black Widow solo film.

Additionally, The Conjuring star Vera Farmiga has also reportedly been cast as Marvel character Eleanor Bishop, mother of Kate Bishop, who will be played by Hailee Steinfeld. Other actors allegedly joining the production are Alaqua Cox, Tony Dalton and Zahn McClarnon.

More from Disney Plus

Variety reported that Fee would play a character named Kazi. It seems likely that the character is mercenary Clown Kazimierz Kazimierczak from the comics. Dalton has been cast as Jack Duquesne, likely a version of Swordsman who became a mentor to Hawkeye and has been both a hero and a villain. It’s not clear which direction his character will go in the series.

Finally, newcomer Cox will portray Maya Lopez, the real name of the Marvel hero Echo — a deaf Native American who excels at perfectly mimicking movements. Hawkeye will be her onscreen debut. McClarnon has been cast as William Lopez, likely Maya’s father Willie “Crazy Horse” Lincoln from the comics.

Variety was also the first publication to exclusively report Steinfeld’s role in the cast, which has not been officially confirmed by Marvel or Disney. However, photos recently surfaced of her on set with star Jeremy Renner, seemingly officially confirming her role as Kate.

Hawkeye does not yet have a premiere date but is one of several upcoming Marvel projects in the works at Disney Plus. The first series, WandaVision, will finally make its debut in January.
