All American Season 3 Episode 1 Recap: Seasons Pass

In the All American Season 3 premiere, we discover if Spencer will be able to play football this season?

There are so many questions we have from the Season 2 finale of CW’s All American. In the All American Season 3 premiere, we find out if Spencer is okay to play? Is Coop in danger? Will Olivia and Asher get back together? What is Mo going to do in Crenshaw? This season begins with Spencer on a bus riding through Crenshaw with Chris. They are riding up to Beverly.

In Beverly, all of the football boys are in the hallway discussing how they are seniors. They are painting “Black Lives Matter” on the floor and talking about going to JJ’s for one last summer party before Spencer goes back to play for Crenshaw. Spencer and Jordan are talking about Simone. As they are talking, Simone texts Jordan that she is in labor.

Olivia is sitting on the steps and Spencer goes over to talk to her. Clearly, something has happened between the two of them. Olivia has been avoiding him. Is it because of the arm? Or did something else happen between the two of them? Then Asher arrives home. Olivia jumps into his arms. Spencer goes because he has an interview back in Crenshaw.

Jordan is at the hospital and Simone’s father is there too. Simone tells her father that she handed the baby over to a new family. She tells him to ask Jordan to leave. Back in Crenshaw, Billy is with the reporter, Renata, and Spencer finally shows up.  She is trying to get Spencer to talk badly about Beverly but he isn’t biting.

Billy is at the High School going to his new office when he runs into Grace. The two of them then run into the new Superintendent. The one that wants to turn the school into a Magnet School. It turns out he went to high school with Billy and wasn’t a big fan. Things just got tougher in Crenshaw.

Coop and Layla are driving home from their summer tour. Layla mentions how Patience left the tour early. Now Coop brings up Layla and Spencer’s relationship. Layla says they are good, but refuses to go see him. Patience is at Spencer’s house watching Spencer and Chris play chess. Someone starts knocking on the door. It’s Coop!

Patience is happy to see Coop, so what is up with Patience? Patience then tells Coop about Mo. Coop is instantly concerned with her arrival.

In Beverly, Mo shows up at Laura’s house. Turns out, Mo is an attorney and wants to talk about Tyrone. At the hospital, Simone’s father is looking at all of the babies in the maternity ward. He is talking to a gentleman that actually is the adoptive father of Simone’s baby. He doesn’t say anything, but you can tell he is happy.

Patience and Coop are getting coffee and are talking about Mo. They are wondering why she is back in town. Patience thinks maybe she is just here to pay her respects, while Coop is worried. Coop then confronts Patience on why she left. Patience keeps saying the tour life isn’t for her, but Coop doesn’t buy it. Laura then shows up at Billy’s new office. Laura then invites Grace and the boys to Baker family dinner.

Laura tells Billy about the conversation she had with Mo. Mo seemed to just have questions about everything that went down, but Laura says that she can’t talk about it. Simone is being discharged from the hospital and is still ignoring Jordan’s calls. She is scared that Jordan is going to hate her for giving the baby up for adoption.

Olivia and Asher are at the Baker house. Asher asks about her summer, but she just brushes it off. Then, Spencer shows up. Clearly, something happened between Olivia and Spencer. He hands his key over to Olivia and awkwardly leaves the house. Spencer meets up with Layla. Their flame is still lit. We are here for it! Spencer then talks to Jordan and JJ. They give Spencer the cold shoulder for his interview with Renata.

All American Season 3 premiere recap: Pool Team or Football Team?

The Westlake football boys show up and challenge the Beverly guys to a game of pool. Even though Jordan and Spencer are on the same team, Jordan starts in with Spencer punches him. Spencer gets back at Jordan. But the damage is done. The Westlake boys are left laughing at how fast Spencer has fallen.

Patience and Coop are in Crenshaw and Coop finds out Preach got released. Patience also tells Coop why she left the tour early. She can’t say much because she signed an NDA. But does say that JP isn’t what he seems to be.

Jordan and Spencer are now sitting outside talking. Spencer is recounting everything they have been through. Jordan blames Spencer for taking his father away and for ripping his community apart. Meanwhile, Grace is trying to take the boys to Baker family dinner. Dillon rats out Spencer for punching Jordan, but Dillon has some insights on why Jordan might be angry.

Billy runs into the Superintendent and asks for forgiveness, but he is in no mood. Billy is then informed that the GPA requirements have been raised for athletes. Everyone makes it to Baker family dinner, except Jordan. He has gone to see Simone. Spencer takes it upon himself to call Jordan and leaves a voicemail.

Coop then waits and talks to Mo. Mo says that when she came back she wanted revenge, but now she just wants to help. Mo is the reason Preach is out of jail.

Simone is with her father upset that she pushed everyone away. Her father took pictures of her baby while she was in the hospital knowing that she would want them. She finally calls Jordan and he is already there.

While cleaning up dinner, Spencer finally tells Billy about his nerve damage. Billy tells Spencer that he will find a doctor to check it out. Olivia finally talks to Spencer. She hugs him for telling the truth.

Some questions have been answered, while others are still burning. Our biggest questions being, what is up with Olivia and Spencer? What did you think of the All American Season 3 premiere?
