Ranking the top five Greta/Riley moments from Genera+ion Season 1

HBO Max has given us a plethora of incredible young adult content, from Euphoria‘s gritty realism to Betty‘s rad skateboarding crew; Genera+ion Season 1 is no exception. Though the show gave us many couples to root for (Chester and Bo! Delilah and Cooper!), perhaps no one captured our hearts more than Riley (Chase Sui Wonders) and Greta (Haley Sanchez), aka Luoreno.

An embodiment of the phrase “opposites attract,” we knew tortured artist Riley Luo and shy, sweet Greta were meant to be from the start. Let’s revisit their top five best moments from season one.

5. Genera+ion Season 1, Episode 3 — The Aquarium

Sure, their first unofficial date was awkward at moments, but what first date isn’t? Even though Riley invited Chester to third-wheel and pesky Pablo kind of ruined the end there, it was fun while it lasted.

Riley gives Greta an introduction to both weed and her past, including information about how she got kicked out of her fancy private school, and Greta goes into what can only be described as gay panic. The moment Greta pumps soap into her hand to help Riley wash her shirt is one of the sweetest and funniest little moments of the show.
