There's nothing better than kicking back and binge-watching a new TV show over a long weekend. You can stay up a little bit later (hopefully!), squeeze in a few more episodes, and have an extra day to to chill before heading back to work next week.
If that sounds good to you, you're in luck! I picked the three new TV shows you simply need to binge-watch right now. These shows are getting more popular by the day, and if you don't watch soon, you might feel like you missed your opportunity.
The best part is these three shows are each on a different streaming service, so there's something for everyone. Let's get the list started with Netflix's next big sci-fi mystery, The Boroughs.

The Boroughs
- Where to watch: Netflix
- Created by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews
- Cast: Alfred Molina, Alfre Woodard, Denis O'Hare, Clarke Peters, Carlos Miranda, Jena Malone, Seth Numrich, Alice Kremelberg, and Geena Davis
- Premiere date: May 21
Produced by the Duffer brothers, The Boroughs is basically Netflix's Stranger Things set in a retirement community, and everyone is talking about it.
The Netflix sci-fi series follows Sam Cooper, played by Alfred Molina, who moves into a retirement community in the desert after the death of his wife. Struggling to move on, Sam connects with a few neighbors in the community. When Sam finds a monster killing his neighbors in the middle of the night, the whole cul-de-sac comes together to try to stop the monster, which leads them into a whole mess of a mystery.
There are some horror elements in The Boroughs, so that might not be for everyone, but this show feels like Spielberg in the best way possible. If you're a fan of Stranger Things or Speilberg, you won't regret watching The Boroughs over Memorial Day weekend.

Widow's Bay
- Where to watch: Apple TV
- Created by Katie Dippold
- Cast: Matthew Rhys, Kate O'Flynn, Kevin Carroll, Dale Dickey, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Stephen Root
- Premiere date: April 29
Widow's Bay is absolutely the best show on TV right now! The Apple TV series had a two-episode premiere on April 29. Since then, new episodes of Widow's Bay have been released every Tuesday night on Apple TV. If there's anything on right now that's "must-see TV," it's Widow's Bay.
The horror comedy series tells the story of Mayor Tom Loftis, played by Matthew Rhys, who is trying to make the remote New England island "the next Martha's Vineyard" by increasing tourism. Unfortunately, on Widow's Bay, things aren't as they seem. The island is clearly haunted, and while Tom tries to ignore the signs, he's forced to get to the bottom of the mystery to save everyone.
This cast has an incredible cast. Rhys is so good as Tom, but the rest of the cast, especially Katie O'Flynn and Stephen Root, are spectacular, as well. I just love this show so much.
We're only five episodes into the 10-episode first season, so you have plenty of time to catch up this weekend and then enjoy the second half of the season with me on Tuesday nights!

Off Campus
- Where to watch: Prime Video
- Created by Louisa Levy and Gina Fattore
- Cast: Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli, Mika Abdalla, Stephen Kalyn, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Antonio Cipriano, Josh Heuston, and Steve Howey
- Premiere date: May 13
Off Campus is the hottest and spiciest new show to watch right now. The series is based on Elle Kennedy's Off-Campus book series. It just premiered on Prime Video on May 13, and it's already a massive hit for the streamer.
The series tells the story of Hannah, played by Ella Bright, who begins fake-dating star hockey player Garrett Graham, played by Belmont Cameli, at their prestigious university. Hannah wants to make her crush jealous, and Garrett needs to pass his classes to keep playing hockey. I think you can guess what starts to happen next.
If you're up for a new romantic comedy-drama to watch this Memorial Day weekend, Off Campus is definitely the show for you. I will say this series is definitely on the more mature side than some shows like it.
Off Campus is already renewed for season 2, so you won't have to wait long for news about the upcoming season.
That's the list of new TV shows to watch over Memorial Day weekend. If you watch just one, I'd pick Widow's Bay, but you can't go wrong with any of these picks.
