Everyone loves a good thriller or mystery to binge-watch, but not everyone has time to watch them all.
We've seen some incredible TV thrillers released in 2026. To make sure you didn't miss one, I put together a short list of the three most underrated thrillers of the year so far.
Harlan Coben's I Will Find You is the biggest show of the year, and I'm sure almost everyone has checked out that new thriller on Netflix. Before that premiered in June, there were a few other thrillers that deserve to be mentioned. Then, there's a new Apple TV thriller that's rising up the streaming characters that you should check out.
Let's get the list started with His and Hers!
His and Hers

His and Hers was one of the first big shows of 2026. It premiered on Jan. 8, one week before A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, so this might have gotten lost in the shuffle if you're also a fantasy fan or you're just a busy person. The beginning of the year is a tough time.
His and Hers was quite popular, but it's sort of faded from the conversation. After Jon Bernthal's epic summer, it's probably worth visiting His and Hers if you haven't yet.
The Netflix thriller is based on the book of the same name by Alice Feeney, who is one of the great thriller writers. The series tells the story of Jack (Bernthal), a detective who is called upon to solve a murder in his small town. He'll have to do it while a person from his past, Anna (Tessa Thompson), who is trying to get her anchor position back at a TV station, tries to beat him to the punch.
If you're looking for a thriller with major twists, His and Hers is the show for you.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed is the best Apple TV thriller of the year, and it got very little buzz, so if you missed it, I don't blame you! Apple TV is having an awesome year, and around the time Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed premiered, we were right in the middle of a new season of Your Friends and Neighbors and the breakout show of the year, Widow's Bay.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed follows Paula, played by Tatiana Maslany, who is a divorced mother just trying to get her life together. When the guy she's "seeing" is kidnapped on camera, the police think Paula is the target of an elaborate blackmail scam. Then, a body turns up, and Paula's life completely unravels as she tries to solve the mystery.
The series has an incredible cast led by Maslany and Jake Johnson. Jessy Hodges
Jon Michael Hill, Charlie Hall, Dolly de Leon, Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg, and Nola Wallace round out the rest of the cast in David J. Rosen's series.
Maslany is so great in this series! Now, I just need Apple TV to do the right thing and renew it for season 2.
Last Seen

Last up on the list, we have Last Seen, which is a new Apple TV show that just premiered on Sept. 9. We've seen the first two episodes of Last Seen already, and new episodes are coming Wednesdays through the season finale on Oct. 7.
Last Seen is based on Ryan David Jahn's novel of the same name, The Dispatcher. The story revolves around Ian Ridley, played by Patrick Brammall, who is working as an emergency dispatcher almost a decade after his 3-year-old daughter mysteriously disappeared. When a call comes in, Ian is taken back to the day his daughter was taken, and he tries to finally figure out what happened to her.
Look, I know the jury is still out on this show because it's so new, but it's definitely underrated. Almost no one is talking about it. If it wasn't released the same day as new episodes of Ted Lasso, I bet people wouldn't even know about it at all. That's how little promo it got. That should start changing in the very near future!
These are the best thrillers of 2026 you've probably missed. I highly recommend watching all three of these shows this fall if you haven't already!
