According to Variety, the rumors that comedic actor Vince Vaughn will be joining True Detective are real as the actor has been confirmed to star as the antagonist in the new season of the show.
This was expected to happen as Vaughn was rumored to be in the cast as far back as a month ago but no official confirmation had come down. Tuesday brought the confirmation that fans were looking for though, as Vaughn joining the cast means that two of the lead roles are now filled.
Next up is the female lead role, as there has yet to be movement on that front. There are rumors aplenty though, as seven actresses were named in a recent report and with two of the leads filled, the next logical role to announce is the female lead.
Even with that role still a mystery, True Detective seems to finally be getting the wheels turning, as the full cast announcement is expected to come down in the next few days.
