True Detective Fans May Want to Check Out The Fall on Netflix
By Josh Hill
The first season of the hit HBO series True Detective managed to bring in plenty of fan attention, and that has led to many looking for similar shows to enjoy while the original stays off the air.
When HBO came out with the first season of True Detective, fans were blown away by how amazing the quality of the series was. This is the era of the television boom, as shows are better and they’re getting more attention than ever.

With True Detective in a production lull, fans are left to find other shows to fill the void until the series returns.
Lauren Le Vine and Lexi Nisita from Refinery29.com wrote up a piece about the best shows on Netflix that are similar to shows we already love. One of those shows is True Detective and it’s Netflix companion seems to be the Jaimie Dornan thriller The Fall.
"If you love a slow-build, extremely tense, psychological thriller, watch The Fall. Paul Spector (Jamie Dornan, here causing much inner turmoil when you find yourself attracted to a deviant sociopath) is a serial killer terrorizing Belfast, and Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson) is the detective trying to catch him before he strikes again. Season 1 is only five episodes, so you’ll burn through them in no time. Luckily, they’re filming the second season right now."
It’s amazing to see how many shows are out there that are almost like sister shows to the ones we love. The Fall may not have been a series many heard about in the past, but True Detective fans may have to check it out now.
